Those yarn overs and curves look great together. Can't wait to see what the scarf turns into.

Looks cool to me too! As for parenting, I just wrote about it myself, and sorry to tell you, it doesn't get much easier.

That looks like a fun knit! Kiddo sounds sweet...at this very moment. Live in the moment!

Yes, that is the way of Motherhood...
Love the scarf, can't wait to see it finished!

Gorgeous!!! My daughter and I both gasped when we saw the shape!

Is this a pattern you designed? It's lovely...maybe you could share it if its on Ravelry??

And yes, the scenario you describe is soooo my life. My 13-yo son will do this exact thing almost daily.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments. I've gotten used to it being so confusing, thankfully relatively early in his life (7 years old) :D

Laura, I am designing this and it will likely be published in May. I need to finish knitting the sample and get it tech edited. It's moving quickly, though!

I'm a tech writer.....

Yes yes yes yes yes!! It's charming!

And the mama-ing thing is perpetually wonderful and confusing and dizzying, but so-so-SO worth it.

It's beautiful! I know exactly how you feel. My daughter is 11 and we've been butting heads for, oh, about 10 years now. I remember saying when she turned into a toddler "we spend the first year of her life making sure she doesn't cry, and now it feels like we'll spend the rest of it making her cry." And all for their own good.

Love the scarf, ditto to everyone else on having children..........

I LOVE that Design my dear friend!

Love Love looove that design. Just gorgeous ~ Beate
